CURRENT RESTORATION PROJECTS

Poole Powerboats Sovereign 19 `001`

First up , this is the very first Sunseeker, A sovereign 19 built by Poole powerboats around 1968. The boat was purchased by Quayline last year. This is boat no1, as we have a build plate to prove. It has a fitted Volvo Penta 130 B2 inboard petrol/ out drive all original which requires full rebuild as well a full respray and fit out of the boat. All full update to follow.

This is a Glastron 150gt built in 1973, but more famous for being the same model that featured in the boat chase  and the famous jump in the James Bond " live and let die"movie. This particular boat is one of the 28 boats purchased for the film for promotional purposes. The actual boat that undertook the 120 ft record jump in restored and Is in a London museum and has a central driving position. There is also another one in the beulieu motor museum. The Quayline one , recently purchased will have its deck removed so both sections can be resprayed, transom re glassed and placed back to the original boat. Also we have an original evinrude 90 v4 engine as Also featured in the film. Many of the other 27 boats were sold back to dealers and some so badly damaged were scraped! This one survived.
